Between 2022 and 2024, I made ten comics that combined classic comic genres, Caribbean folklore and a good dose of gritty realism. In 2025, these comics were published by Drawn & Quarterly as a short short collection.

Released by influential underground and alternative comics publisher Drawn & Quarterly, Milk White Steed was named in The Guardian's ‘2025 best graphic novels of the year' list and is currently a finalist for the 2026 LA Times 'Book Prize in the Graphic Novel category.' It was also a finalist for the Ignatz Award in 2025.

The book was written, illustrated and designed by myself. The drawing was done without pencilling mostly in disposable pens to achieve an instantaneous cartooning, free from conventional ideas of visual storytelling in comics.
